Marriage Enrichment Seminars

Recommit, Restore, and Renew

Recommit, Restore, and Renew is a personalized Christian marriage enrichment seminar that David and Cheryl Morrow designed. The relationship between husband and wife is one of the most important relationships in the life of an individual. Many would argue that it is the primary relationship between two human beings. It is the power structure of the nuclear family, and the family is the primary building block of our society. Yet, so often this vital relationship is taken for granted, and the warning signs of real-life struggle are ignored.

This Biblically-based seminar is designed to help couples RECOMMIT to their vows, and provide God an opportunity to RESTORE and strengthen their love for each other. This will RENEW the passion that fuels their desire to share life together! In the below video, David and Cheryl Morrow explain their own stories, their credentials, their vision, and their passion.

For Recommit, Restore, and Renew, each participant will be asked to complete a simple 20 point questionnaire prior to attending, and each couple will receive a personalized written conversation guide, which will assist them in discovering the strengths and growth areas of their marriage.

This great weekend is not designed for couples to sit and learn about marriage. It will be very interactive. Couples will communicate about specific issues that are affecting their marriage. They will learn new skills that will help them develop a plan to move beyond conflict. They will have specific times that are set aside for them to relax and celebrate their mutual triumph over the barriers to their intimacy.

Planned topics include:

  • External Influences and establishing marital goals (Recommit)

  • Communication, confidentiality in marriage, and trust

  • Safety and conflict management

  • Finances

  • Household issues

  • Children, step-children, and discipline

  • Impact of physical and emotional health including drug/alcohol issues, and legal issues

  • Spiritual direction (Restore)

  • Sex and romance

  • The future (Renew)

Couples will be empowered to love each other as Christ loves us, embrace their ministry opportunities, and work toward becoming all God created them to be. Couples will laugh together. Some may cry together. However, all will leave with some new skills, ideas, and experiences that will help them remember why they said “I DO.”

If desired, at the conclusion of the weekend, Rev. Morrow can provide the Sunday Morning message from God’s Holy Word that will highlight the themes of the seminar.
